The deadline for the army list submission is on 24th of May 2020 at midnight GMT.
The umpire will give a copy of the list sent to the list checker to all players. This copy will be the only legit list for deployment, check and exchange between players.
No other list in any form will be legal from the players to show.
After all troops in flank march have arrived and all ambush markers revealed, players will be able to reveal their list. Lists must be given to the opponent if asked, to honor the fair play.
During lists checking by the umpire, if there is any difference between the list and the army deployed, the player will be immediately disqualified.
DELAYED ARMY LISTS
The players that will send their list delayed, these lists will be hanged in the tournament noticeboard and they will get a -20 points penalty from their total score.
Games will last 2:30 hours, with 7 ROUNDS minimum. There will be NO maximum limit of rounds inside the time limit.
There will be a first notice when the first hour of playtime is complete. In addition, there will be a 15 min warning before time is up.
All games will always finish after defenders’ round is complete.
Due to the big number of participants, players may use their own pieces. However, these pieces must be checked and approved by the umpires. Playmats will be provided by the organizers
The organizers will provide dice and dice towers. The use of dice towers given will be mandatory. Under no circumstances, the players may use other dice.
DURING GAME PLAY
Deployment sheets will be provided to all players in every round. Please try to indicate your command clearly in the deployment sheet as well as your troops in ambushes.
If troops in an ambush marker are illegally deployed (troops other than Light infantry on a field etc.) they will be immediately removed and will count as lost.
IN ANY CASE OF A COMMAND ILLEGALLY PLACED, the player will automatically lose the game under umpire’s discretion. In the case of a command unable to be legally placed, for example command A must be placed at the left of command B but command B is placed at 4 UD from the side edge, then if command A includes light troops they can be placed together with the commanding general and all other troops will be counted as lost.
Players are strongly advised to mark their troop’s positions before moving them. In case of a dispute, when evades and charges take place and the players do not mark the positions after movement, the umpire will solve it with a throw of a die. Otherwise, the benefit of the doubt will go to the player that had at least a marker on his units.
Players should not take moves back during movement face, unless they have used markers. A player may call the umpire if his opponent moves back and forth without his approval. A unit without being marked and is taken back, will be moved to the closest point of its player long table edge by the umpire and at a point that will not affect the battle instantly.
A certain procedure is strongly recommended for all players for the tournament and it will be as follows:
a. Attacker declares charging unit/units and places an indicator with charge direction. At this point, no units are allowed to be moved.
b. Defender declares evader/evaders, declaring their evade direction.
c. Defender moves all declared evading units. Other capable of evading units that were not declared so, cannot evade anymore.
d. Attacker move his charging units. All movement rules and restrictions are applied (initial slides, wheels and move from dice rolls).
e. If there will be new targets eligible to evade, depending on the attacker’s charging distance, these targets may evade at defender’s choice.
In case of a disagreement this procedure will be the only valid and the umpire will decide upon this.
PLAYERS WITH A ΝΟΝ SPORTSMANSHIP BEHAVIOR OR OBSTRUCT THE GAME FLOW CONTINUOUSLY, WILL GET A WARNING FROM THE UMPIRES. AS SOON AS THEY GET A SECOND WARNING FOR THE SAME REASON, THEY WILL BE DISQUALIFIED, AT THE UMPIRE’S DISCRETION. Disqualifications might be out of the current game or from the whole tournament if decided by umpire’s discretion.
SPEED OF PLAY
Players will be enforced to avoid slow play. If a player is playing intentionally slowly will be warned by the umpire. If detected again to play slow, the umpire will activate the blitz rule, with a time limit of 8 minutes each player’s round. At the end of the 2:30-hour period and the number of rounds that have been played is less than 7, the umpire will enable the blitz rule with a time limit of 3 minutes each player’s round this time.
